efsli Deaf Interpreters working seminar

The efsli board sent a call for experienced Deaf interpreters to participate in the first efsli working seminar for Deaf interpreters. The application deadline is now closed (was on 15th March) and participants have been selected.

 

Programme
The aim of the seminar is to gather expertise and guidance on how to move the profession of Deaf interpreters forward in Europe. The all-day seminar will be chaired by Christian Rathmann & Robert Adam.

The seminar involves plenary presentations and discussions on the topics of training, professionalisation and employment. The outcomes of the seminar will be determined by the participants and the chairs and used as guidance on the further development of the profession.

A detailed programme will be send to all participants in May.

 

Accomodation
Participants are expected to book their own accomodation (hotel). Participants staying for the efsli AGM & conference and who would like to stay at one of the conference hotels, they can book their additional nights directly at:

Participants who are not staying for the efsli AGM & conference, are of course also welcome to book their room directly at the NH Belvedere, or at any other hotel they would like to stay at.

 

Costs
The registration fee for the seminar is 75 euros, which includes coffee breaks and lunch. The selected participants must have registered and paid by 1st May. If not, their place will be given to the next one on the waiting list.

Working seminar participants who register for the efsli AGM & conference (14th-16th September) will receive a 100 euro discount on the efsli AGM & conference registration fee.

Following the working seminar the efsli AGM & conference will take place in Vienna (14th – 16th September) and the efsli Trainers’ seminar in Graz (17th – 19th September).
