Country report: ESTONIA, Estonian Association of Sign Language Interpreters (EVKTÜ)

• Population: 1.35 million people, 1500 deaf people

• Size of the country 45 227 km2

• The number of Sign Language interpreters: 28 qualified signs language interpreters

• The interpreter organization: Eesti Viipekeele Tõlkide Ühing has currently 23 members

• Interpreter training: 3-year interpreter training program in the University of Tartu since 2006
