

Feedback from consumers seems to be the same across Europe: interpreters seem to cope (well ) with voice to sign interpreting but their skills in sign to voice interpreting leave a lot to be desired. Diak (Diaconia University of Applied Sciences) in cooperation with efsli will organise a two day seminar for all professionals involved in sign language interpreter training to collaborate and find new approaches to train interpreters in sign to voice.

Interpretation between spoken English and International Sign will be organised.

Included in the registration fee: coffee breaks and lunches Friday and Saturday. Please note that participants will organize and cover their own travelling and accommodation.

The minimum number of participants is 15 persons. The participants will be informed by September 15th 2010 whether the seminar will be organized or not. Cancellation deadline is the 1st of September 2010. Please note that prior to that date you will be able to cancel your registration without any charge but after the 1st of September you will be charged 50% of the seminar fee, and after the 1st of October the entire seminar fee will be charged. If the participant does not cancel his/her registration at all or does not show up in the course, the fee will be charged in full.
