On 26 & 27 March 2012 efsli will hold its second working seminar on sign language interpreters’ qualification systems in Europe. This working seminar will be hosted by the Institute of German Sign Language and Communication of the Deaf (Institut für Deutsche Gebärdensprache und Kommunikation Gehörloser ), at the University of Hamburg .
The aim of this seminar is to come to an agreement on the content of a standard curriculum for sign language interpreters across Europe. To achieve this objective, participants will receive in advance a working document with the proposals resulting from the outcomes of the first working seminar (held in Utrecht last November 2011). This working document will serve as a basis for discussion in the different parallel workshops.
The working seminar is open for all sign language interpreters trainers, training institutions and sign language interpreters across Europe.

The working languages during the seminar are English and International Sign.

HVV, the Hamburg public transit network, runs the S-Bahnn-line (suburban railway) S1 which links the airport directly to the city centre every ten minutes. The trip to the central train station (Hauptbahnhof) takes approximately 25 minutes.
