Improving Professionalism of Legal Translators and Court Interpreters: New Technologies. The 2nd General Assembly of EULITA.
The second General Assembly of EULITA will be held in Prag in February after the XV Anniversary of the member association KST CR, who kindly provides the facilities. Members of EULITA are welcome to attend the conference. Download the Call for Papers.
Seminar on building a standard curriculum for sign language interpreters across Europe
efsli working seminar on November 14 & 15 2011 in Utrecht, the Netherlands, was a great success. At the seminar the 75 participants from 23 countries discussed the best practices in the curriculum of sign language interpreter training programmes in Europe.The follow up seminar will take place on 26 & 27 March 2012 at the University of Hamburg, Germany. In the coming months more information will become available.

International conference: Sign languages as Endangered Languages
Ål Experiential College and Conference Center for Deaf People in collaboration with the World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) and the European Union of the Deaf (EUD) will host an international conference to discuss about several issues related to the future of the Deaf community on 6 – 9 November 2011 in Ål, Norway.
The keynote presenters at the conference are Dr. Peter Hauser from University of Rochester and Dr. Stuart Blume, Emeritus Professor at the University of Amsterdam.
